Our family has been blessed by the hard work and dedication of our employees over the past four generations. Over the many years, we have enjoyed watching you and your families grow up with us and we love hearing your personal stories of how well your families are doing and about the challenges overcome and the successes you have all achieved.

Education and training are important keys to help all of our next generations be successful in whatever career or employment path they choose. For some, the cost of education and training can be a challenge and may prevent your child from pursuing continued education or training. Others may just need a helping hand to set them off in the right direction; and we would like to help.

Our family has decided to roll out a program where we are offering up to 16 scholarships per year to the dependents of our employees. The scholarship amounts are $2,000 each and will be distributed throughout all of the Ernst companies. These scholarships are available for education and training expenses for colleges, trade schools, or other accredited job training programs such as CDLs. The scholarship fund will be managed by the non-profit Dayton Foundation who will make the scholarship awards.

The details of the scholarship program are set out in the attached information and application. We have purposely made the application process as simple as possible so we hope everyone eligible will take advantage of this opportunity. The application deadline is March 9, 2018 with scholarships to be awarded for use in the Fall of 2018.

Thanks for continuing to deliver excellence every day.

Sincerely,

John Ernst

Square or Rectangle Concrete Slab

A concrete slab is commonly used as a base element in modern buildings. Often those slabs have steel reinforcement. Commonly, concrete slabs are between 4 and 20 inches thick and are used for a purpose of floor and ceiling construction. Thinner slabs can be used for exterior paving. Before any pour you need to know how much concrete will be needed. Please use the calculator below to give you some estimate of the concrete amount.

Concrete Footing

A concrete footing is used as a foundation for outdoor structures such as houses, decks or porches. Width of the footings depends upon the type of the soil.

A common width of 16 to 20 inches can be used to support a mid range house built on the typical soil. Please refer to your design requirements to get exact measurements.
